School Curriculum

Introduction

The Immortal International School Curriculum has been designed keeping in mind the pedagogic needs of the regions our schools are based in and connecting it to international standards. Our curriculum has been developed by carrying out ongoing small-scale research projects, pilot projects and action research.

We have tried to create a flexible curricular model that can be personalized to the needs of varied learners. Our curriculum not only covers academic areas but also covers the social, cultural issues and challenges that the 21st century poses for young people. Our students are free to choose from a range of curriculums.

Pre Primary Classes

It is the right of every child to be provided opportunity for all round growth and development to realize his/her full potential. The early years are the most significant years for human growth, development and learning of all children including those with special needs due to disability conditions. Environmental conditions during early years substantially affect the growth of children’s neural pathways. Providing optimal stimulation at the right time is the key to the networking for the rest of their lives.

The all-round capacities that emerge in 3 to 6 years age group are the pre-requisites for later success in school and life. Through creative play, well thought out games with suitable adaptation for children with special working memory, focus their attention and acquire selfcontrol.

It is also important that children should be provided emotionally supportive and enabling environment to develop safe and secure relationship with teachers

Aims of Preschool Education

  • Providing strong foundations for all round development and lifelong learning.
  • Preparing the child for school.

Primary Classes

The ethos of the Primary School promotes personal responsibility, self-respect, self-confidence and a commitment to succeed and achieve.

We believe there is a genius in every child. We are passionate about imparting high quality and personalized education. The exciting and challenging teaching encourages students to be independent learners, express themselves and function in a variety of environments. An array of skills are developed across the curriculum with a common aim of developing every student to achieve or surpass their potential. The curriculum in the Primary School has been rated as Outstanding by the IIS.

Carefully planned lessons, engaging activities, meaningful links across various subjects, application to real life examples foster meaningful learning, problem solving and critical thinking.

Secondary Classes

In the Middle School years, the fundamental element of our students’ education is to prepare them for life outside of school. All aspects of the CBSE Curriculum are taught, providing a holistic educational experience as well as a diverse range of skills and experiences allowing students to further develop their love of learning, which is a wide-ranging, skills-based curriculum designed to allow students to apply their skills and knowledge to real life scenarios. The curriculum is enhanced and extended through research work, independent and collaborative learning. It focuses on supporting students to develop the understanding and skills they require to make healthy and safe choices that will enhance their own and others' health and wellbeing. We foster complex reasoning skills that are crucial to thriving in High School.

In these years, learning and teaching lay emphasis on intellectual challenge and encourages students to make connections between what they do in school and the world beyond the classroom.
